We
believe our local Redmond Chapter to be the most active and devoted chapter
of Oregon Hunter’s Association in the State. Our membership believes in and
is dedicated to our goals of Hunters Rights, Huntable Wildlife and Habitat.
We hold an annual fundraiser on the last Saturday of February each year.
This is an event attend by 450 people and always sold out early. *No tickets
are available at the door for the annual fundraiser! Call 541-383-1099 for
tickets.
The Redmond Chapter of Oregon Hunter’s Association’s membership is 650
strong. Redmond OHA is also the forming chapter of Central Oregon Quail
Unlimited which affiliates itself with the National Quail Unlimited
Organization. QU holds a membership of 250 and combines with Redmond OHA on
all habitat projects and allows OHA, through the local QU chapter, to
participate in QU’s tremendous national habitat grant program, a tremendous
win/win situation for both organizations.
In 2003, Redmond OHA and Central Oregon Quail Unlimited put $216,000 on the
ground for Oregon’s wildlife. Our dedicated volunteers contributed 4500
volunteer hours in accomplishing this great task. In 2004, the numbers were
$210,000 in wildlife projects with 5,000 hours of volunteer work!
Our OHA chapter organization includes four officers and eight board members.
Four officers make up the local Quail Unlimited organization. The following
individuals currently hold officer and board positions.
